Antichrist Suspect: Bashar al-Assad
Thanks to reader Gordon Jennings for pointing out the next antichrist predicted by Nostradamus could be the corrupt Dictator of Syria, Bashar Al-Assad. Given his subjugation of Lebanese people and the ill-treatment of his own, Al-Assad certainly has the credentials of an antichrist, but does he fit into Nostradamus´ model?
Al-Assad is not Bashar´s real surname. The family was originally called Al Wahash, which in Arabic means the Beast. Al-Assad´s father changed it over 30 years ago, presumably for political reasons, but perhaps to cover up the mark of the antichrist in anticipation of his son´s rise to power. In Arabic, AL-Assad means The Lion, which is most associate with England, and coincidentally Bashar was educated in London and has close relationships with western academia and intellectuals and is said to embrace western philosophies.
But this is where Al-Assad becomes confusing as he is widely suspected of killing Rafiq Hariri, the former Prime Minister of Lebanon because he was Pro-American. It has never been proven that Al-Assad ordered the hit, but the incident caused a backlash in Europe and the US which led to a decline in diplomatic relations between Syria and the western superpowers. Is this all part of the political act to stir up an excuse for war? Nostradamus warns us:
Century 9 Quatrain 55
The horrible war that is being prepared in the west is the New World Order, the plot of the global Zionists that own investment banks, the media, multi-billion dollar corporations and the most powerful political families and monarchs in Europe and the US. One way or another they need an excuse to start World War III so they can gain control over Muslim countries the remaining countries in the Far East which they don´t already hold a monopoly over.
Syria is also know to support terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah which is a major tool western leaders use as an excuse for war. The current conflict in Syria give Al-Assad and the western politicians a prime opportunity to organize a “terrorist attack” that can be used as a catalyst for a third world war. Al-Assad would therefore be labeled the antichrist by western media.
According to the former UN chief Major General Robert Mood, it is “only a matter of time” before the government of Al-Assad is defeated, although he added it may not necessarily mean an end to the conflict. Nostradamus said that the war of the antichrist would last 27 years, but he also said the antichrist would “soon die.”
Century 2 Quatrain 62
Mabus will soon die and there will come
A dreadful destruction of people and animals,
Suddenly vengeance will be revealed,
Hundred, hands, thirst and hunger when the comet will pass.
Century 8, Quatrain 77
The Antichrist very soon annihilates the three,
Twenty-seven years the blood of his war will last.
The unbelievers are dead, captive, exiled;
With blood, human bodies, water and red hail covering the earth.
The Bible, another significant source that references the coming of the antichrist also predicts that Damascus will fall on three different occasions. The most significant is written in Isaiah 17:1 and reads: Behold, Damascus will cease to be a city and will become a heap of ruins, although there is no direct connection between Damascus and the antichrist, but there is a hint the antichrist will emerge from the Middle East.
Interested parties will want to keep track of events unfolding in Syria in the coming weeks as there is a definite potential that all hell will be let loose – and the emergence of the antichrist predicted by Nostradamus will make himself known.
